Bayonne Education Association supports the Davis team

BAYONNE, NJ — The Bayonne Education Association, the local teachers’ union representing nearly 1,000 education professionals in the city’s schools, has endorsed Mayor Jimmy Davis and his team in the upcoming May 10 election. The coveted endorsement, which the Davis and Nadrowski campaigns have actively pursued, adds significant momentum to the Davis campaign ahead of the final weeks of the election.

“After meeting with the two leading candidates, reviewing their files and conducting interviews through our selection committee, we have come to the conclusion that Mayor Davis and his team are the best choice to continue moving our city forward” , said BEA President Gene Woods. “Mayor Davis’ leadership has been essential to the revitalization of Bayonne and our members will work to ensure he is re-elected on May 10.”

Mayor Davis recently announced the endorsement by the influential Hotel and Gaming Trades Council union and will announce other supporters, including labor organizations, community groups and elected officials, in the coming weeks.

“Bayonne teachers go above and beyond for our children and our community every day, so I am extremely proud to have the endorsement of the Bayonne Education Association,” said Mayor Davis. “I would like to thank Gene Woods, the members of the selection committee and each BEA member and their families for their support.”
