Dr. Gaurav Grover, President of New Delhi Association of Social Workers celebrates World Environment Day

New Delhi [India], June 7 (ANI/GPRC): Since the advent of the industrial revolution, environmental protection has become our top priority. One day to celebrate the environment is really not enough. You have to take care of it on a daily basis. But, on this day of June 5, we can certainly pledge to take care of our mother nature and make the Earth a better place.
In keeping with the theme of the United Nations Environment Program for this year’s World Environment Day is “One Earth”, Dr. Gaurav Grover and the New Delhi Social Workers Association (NDSWA) celebrated the World Environment Day in association with the Embassy of Myanmar. to India as co-host, at their Embassy premises in New Delhi on Saturday, June 4, 2022.
The event was supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India and Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti.
The event kicked off with Palka and Dr. Gaurav Grover welcoming everyone and sharing his thoughts on outreach activities. This was followed by an address by HE Moe Kyaw Aung, Ambassador, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, New Delhi and other dignitaries present such as Dr. Vijay Jolly, on this year’s theme and Myra Grover sharing the message from the Secretary General, United Nation’s.
Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Minister of State for Consumption, Food and Public Distribution and Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India, was the guest of honor for the ‘opportunity.
World Environment Day Guest of Honor Vijay Goel, Vice President, Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti, Manoj Tiwari, MP graced the event and inspired everyone with their thoughts and views. Yeshaya Grover, a student of Sardar Patel Vidyala shared her perspective alongside Rachna Sharma, Harvard alumni and AshnaDhanuka, motivational speaker and life coach.

The highlight of the event was the book launch by Vijay Goel, Manoj Tiwari and other dignitaries in attendance, on – Sustainable Living: India’s Road to Eco-Friendly Luxury Consciousness written by Dr. Gaurav Grover.
It was unveiled by HE Claudio Ansorena, Ambassador of Costa Rica, HE Fleming Raul Duarte, Ambassador of Paraguay, Anuradha Joshi, Principal Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, RupalDalal, Director, JD Fashion Institute, Pinky Anand, Principal Attorney, Supreme Court of India, among others on stage who shared their thoughts in the book.
The evening was marked by ‘Fashion for a Cause’ featuring presentation of sustainable and Khadi garments by renowned Indian fashion designers – Rina Dhaka, Samant Chauhan, Charu Parashar, Diksha Khanna, Ashima Leena and Pallavi Singh presenting the best of manufacture in India. Myanmar fashion designers – Thet Hnin Aye and Myo Min Soe, whose range is made from sustainable fabrics, were also featured during the evening.
“Influencing and impacting civil society through advocacy work is the motive of our NGO. We need to raise awareness about nature protection and look at various environmental issues that are growing day by day. This day gives us the opportunity to broaden our vision, our opinions and our responsibilities towards the preservation and improvement of the environment.” Said Dr. Gaurav Grover, President of the New Delhi Association of Social Workers.
Manoj Tiwari said: “Let’s take care of nature in order to have a better future.
HE Jason Hall (Jamaica), HE Vijay Mehta (Romania), HEKL Ganju (Comoros), were also seen marking their presence among the many diplomats present.
