According to Colonel Manvinder Singh, chief executive of CGA, Pratap Hoon and Rupinder Singh will work as senior vice presidents. AK Sharma of the Indian Revenue Service and former cricketer Monish DP Azad have been appointed as the association’s new vice presidents. Harpuneet Singh Sandhu is the new Treasurer while Harinder Pal Singh Bedi and Ashwani K Sharma will be the Joint Secretaries.

The newly elected President also appointed Lt. Col. BS Chahal and Col. HS Baidwan (Retired) as Secretaries/Executive Committee Members. Additionally, Bachitter Singh, JS Sukhija, Harcharan Singh and Bhupinder Singh Makkar were appointed as executive members.

    Two arrested for attacking cops with rocks in Chandigarh’s Sukhna enclave

    Police on Wednesday arrested two men for assaulting officers who were trying to resolve their land dispute in the Sukhna enclave on Tuesday. According to the police, a resident of Sector 3, Karanbir Singh Dhillon, had filed a complaint against Devinder Singh from Sector 18 and Kamlesh Kumar from Kaimbwala village who had threatened him and entered his land at Sukhna enclave.

    Associate of gangster Kali Shooter arrested with weapons in Chandigarh

    Continuing its crackdown on gangsters, the Chandigarh Police Criminal Branch on Wednesday arrested an associate of the Kali Shooter gang at a petrol station in Kajehri village, Sector 52. The police team also recovered two pistols made in the country and 10 real cartridges in Karan. The kingpin of the Kali Shooter gang is aka Kali Rajput, Ravinder, member of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
