North County African American Women’s Association and North Island Credit Union Partner to Offer 2022 Scholarship and Financial Education Programs
SAN DIEGO, February 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — For the second year, in partnership with the North County African American Women’s Association (NCAAWA), North Island Credit Union is offering $10,000 in college scholarships to female students of African American descent for college in North San Diego County.
Four $2,500 NCAAWA/North Island Credit Union scholarships are available for high school seniors, current ROPs, trade schools, colleges, and/or graduate students in Carlsbad, Escondido, Fallbrook, ocean sideSan Diego, St. Mark and View. Special consideration will be given to students pursuing studies in education.
In addition to the North Island Credit Union scholarships, the NCAAWA offers several scholarship programs for qualified North County students. More information on all NCAAWA scholarships can be found at ncaawa.org/scholarships. Online applications will be accepted via April 30, 2022.

The two organizations are also partnering to provide financial literacy training to upperclass NCAAWA high school girls. Global Ambassador Mentorship Program.
