GCAR has also named two winners of its Good Neighbor Award, created in 2019 to recognize local real estate agents active in non-profit organizations.

Howard Hanna’s Miguel Berger has been involved in several organizations, but he has a special love for animals. Former president of the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Berger raised funds for the society’s new building. He supports the Mr. Mo Project, an organization that helps pay the veterinary bills of senior dogs and find them homes.

The second recipient of a Good Neighbor Award is Donna Hunter of Thomas J. Real Estate. She leads the annual fundraiser for the Edinburgh Emergency Squad, an effort that supports the small ambulance service.
