The Arizona Restaurant Association receives nominations for its annual Foodist Awards

PHOENIX – People can support their favorite restaurant and drinking spot by nominating them for the Arizona Restaurant Association’s annual Foodist Awards.

Nominations are being accepted online until Feb. 21 for the food, beverage, restaurant and people categories, according to a press release.

Among the awards people can vote for are Outstanding Signature Dish, World-Class Dessert, Outstanding Happy Hour, Best Brewery in the State, Emerging Restaurant of the Year, and Best Chef.

“The Foodist Awards strive to shine a light on Arizona’s incredible culinary scene and the people who work tirelessly every day to create it,” said Arizona Restaurant Association President and CEO, Steve Chucri, in the press release.

“As part of our advocacy efforts to support the state’s hospitality industry, we couldn’t be happier to bring back this flagship industry event. We invite voters to voice their opinion in support of the industry and their favorite restaurants.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Republic National Distributing Company’s 7th and Union event space on June 2 at 5:30 p.m.

The Foodist Awards are returning after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the restaurant association said.
