Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association of Hanoi Holds its 6th Congress | Policy

Hanoi (VNA) – The 6th congress of the 2022 – 2027 term of the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship AssociationThe Hanoi Chapter (VCFA Hanoi) was held in Hanoi on August 27, electing a 30-member executive council.

In the new mandate, VCFA Hanoi will focus on promoting friendship and cooperation activities with partners in Havana and other cities in Cuba; obtain the support of Overseas Vietnamese (OV) living in Cuba for the socio-economic development of Hanoi and the country; and actively organize activities to enhance friendship, solidarity and mutual understanding between the peoples of the two countries.

VCFA Hanoi will coordinate with Communist Review – the magazine of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and Tri Nam Group to develop and implement a Vietnamese-Spanish bilingual website, to update the Association’s activities and historical data and documents on the leaders of the two nations and the relations between the Party, the State and the people of the two countries.

It will also expand relationships with major news agencies in Vietnam that have Spanish-language products such as Vietnam News Agency, Television Vietnam, Radio La Voix du Vietnam (VOV), Nhan Dan Newspaper, and the Communist Review of the CPV in order to promote the image and the achievements made in the process of renewal and integration of Vietnam and Hanoi in particular .

Friendly exchange activities and seminars will also be organized to take stock of Cuba’s economic models, help companies from both countries establish partnerships and promote their investment cooperation.

Addressing the event, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolas Hernández Guillén highlighted the fraternal relations between Vietnam and Cuba and thanked Vietnamese friends for always standing by Cuba’s side.
